Since 2001, I have been providing accessible and transformative support services to individuals, families and groups from diverse communities across Canada. I am the founder of the Centre for Anti-Oppressive Communication (CFAC), a Toronto based organization that provides counselling, clinical supervision, and organizational consultation from an anti-oppressive perspective. I received a Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, specialized in therapeutic practice with individuals, groups and families.
Areas of Expertise
Anti-Oppressive Communication, Anti-Racism Organizational Consultation, Strategic Planning, Keynote Speaker, Moderator, Master of Ceremony, Mediation and Conflict Resolution, Clinical Supervision, and Training
Engaging, creative and custom-made presentations, workshops and trainings are central to what we do.
At a CFAC event, participants gain a deeper understanding of the complex challenges and enduring strengths of “racialized” and “marginalized” communities.
Our retreats and workshops offer an energizing atmosphere geared at providing effective strategies to improve communication across difference.
We provide Clinical Supervision that actualizes the Anti-Oppressive Practice approach useful as both skill and a philosophical lens, to meet the needs of diverse clients.
Professional and experienced public speaking, provocative and intimate interviews, panel moderation, MC and host; Tenniel’s holistic wellbeing approach and personal narrative engages audiences, facilitates growth and creates memorable learning experiences.
